Frequently asked questions

Which mail servers are supported?+

Postfix, Exim, Sendmail and Zimbra (Postfix-based) through the log agent. Exchange and cloud relays can push events through the JSON API. SMTP/IMAP and DNS health checks work for any server.

Does the portal read our email content?+

No. The agent only sends MTA log lines: queue IDs, addresses, status, relay and SMTP responses. Message bodies never leave your server.

How are credentials stored?+

SMTP/IMAP passwords used for probes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Agent keys are stored only as hashes and can be rotated at any time.

Who can see our data?+

Only members of your organization, according to their role, and BdREN NOC super-administrators.
